About Us

The Good News Chocolate Company is a Virginia Non-Stock Corporation* based in Petersburg, Virginia and was founded in 2024 by Peter and Alison Loewen. Originally from Kansas, Peter works in construction by trade; while Alison works in a desk job in research. For many years, they have used different avenues to spread the gospel, to friends, families, and strangers. At times, they would find it difficult to find the opportunity to start or segue into a conversation of Christ. That's when they thought of an idea: instead of handing out bible tracts, why not put the gospel inside the chocolate wrapper and people can give those out instead!? What a great way to get the conversation started! They made their vision a reality. And this is how The Good News Chocolates was born.
